Hello there. I just want to share my dream when me and my Ex-girlfriend from afar, broke up. Before I share my dream, in real life, she ended breaking up with me because I can't give her the love the she deserves... which she's right and I can't deny that because we've been in a long distance relationship. When she broke up, I weirdly felt two different feelings. One is ofcourse, sad, because after more than a year of us being together... it just ended up. Our dreams of one day we're going to meet each other, suddenly disappeared. Plus I really missed her, even though there are a lot of misunderstandings between us. On the other hand, I kind of felt relieved, knowing that I am finally free, and she's finally free as well and she can be happy now. I am a bit happy I guess because I can now give myself the focus I need to other areas of my life. Now, going to my dream about her. In my dream: There's really a very sad background song playing, which is titled: "I'll always love you" originally by Michael Johnson, but the background song was too sad and emotional, covered by someone. Me and my ex were together in that dream, but we've reached an overpass, meaning that someone's have to go the other way now. And as one of us crossed the other side, I really felt sad, especially when the lyrics of the background song reached the chorus and said: "And I'll always need you, and if you ever changed your mind, I'll still, and I will... love you..." Then that dream ended.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and your dream about your ex-girlfriend appears to be a vivid manifestation of your internal emotional state following the breakup.
Emotional Conflict: Your dream captures the complex feelings you have about the end of your relationship. On one hand, there's sadness and a sense of loss, which is evident in the emotional atmosphere created by the sad song. This aligns with your feelings of missing her and the dreams you had for your future together. On the other hand, there's a sense of relief and freedom, which might explain why you are naturally drawn to sentiments of longing and unresolved feelings that the song expresses.
Overpass Symbolism: The overpass in your dream may symbolize a pivotal moment or a crossroads in your relationship. It signifies the distance between you and your ex and the choices that have led you both to this point. The imagery of crossing to the other side could represent the separation and how both of you are now on different paths, which evokes feelings of both grief and acceptance.
The Song’s Lyrics: The lyrics of “I'll Always Love You” itself reveal enduring emotions tied to love, even in separation. This reflects the truth of how deep connections can leave lasting imprints on our hearts. Your subconscious may be processing the idea that while the relationship is over, the feelings you had for her will always remain a part of you, echoing sentiments of love and longing.
Nostalgia and Healing: The combination of sadness and a sense of relief implies that you are navigating through grief as well as the healing process. It's common for dreams after a breakup to revisit emotions tied to the relationship, and this dream may indicate that you are beginning to come to terms with your feelings.
Overall, this dream appears to be a reflection of your emotional journey after the breakup—balancing nostalgia and acceptance, love and letting go. It may be a healthy process of working through your feelings so you can move forward in your life while acknowledging the significance of what you shared with her.
